September – In Association with Nairn Book & Arts Festival 2014
Tuesday 3rd at 9:00pm to 10:10pm - Battleship Potemkin (1925) PG.  (Please note the time)
Nairn's own Andy May brings his trio to Cinema Nairn for the much lauded, classic Russian silent film telling the true tale of a 1905 naval mutiny and street riot in Odessa.  The trio, who have individually played with artists such as Jack Bruce, Marianne Faithfull, The Proclaimers, Capercaillie among others, will improvise on themes written by Andy for the film.  A one off must see opportunity.

Saturday morning, 7th at 10:00am to 11:15am- Harold Lloyd in Kid Brother (1927) U.
A silent film with Andy May performing live on the keyboard on the Saturday morning has become a regular and very popular feature of the festival.  This year we present a classic Harold Lloyd western.  Will Harold catch the thieves and win Mary's heart?  A great film experience for the whole family

September Friday 27th at 7:30pm
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (12A) 2011
Cinema Nairn presents Scotland’s very own Hollywood star Ewan McGregor in the Golden Globe nominated romantic comedy with Emily Blunt and Kristin Scott-Thomas.  Reviewers called it ‘a disarmingly attractive hour and three quarters of gentle romance and even gentler comedy’.  Come along and see if you agree!

October – Monday 7th at 2:00pm - Matinee
The Lady Killers (U) 1955
An Ealing Studio classic from Alexander Mackendrick, starring all your old favourites,  including Alec Guinness, Cecil Parker, Herbert Lom, Peter Sellers, Jack Warner and Katie Johnson who won a BAFTA for her performance as Mrs Willberforce

October - Friday 25th at 7:30pm
The Artist (PG) 2011
The multi-award winning salute to silent movies.  This is the first French film and French actor to win an Oscar and the first silent film to win an OSCA since 1927.  What about the dog I hear you ask - come along and see what all the fuss was about!

November – 22nd at 7:30pm
North Face (12A) 2008.  In German, with English subtitles.
Continuing Cinema Nairn’s mountaineering themed films in November, North Face is a depiction of the true story about the race to conquer the north face of the Eiger.  Set in 1936, it’s the story of two reluctant German ‘heroes’ taking on the elements in what is a highly suspenseful film with dramatic cinematography.

December – Monday 2nd at 2:00pm - Matinee
A Christmas Carol (U) 1951
Are you in the Christmas spirit yet? Don't worry, neither was Scrooge, but the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, soon put an end to that! Come and join us to get in the mood for Christmas, with the original and (in our opinion) the best version of A Christmas Carol, the Dickens classic starring Alistair Sim as Scrooge.
