This
year's November adventure film is the critically acclaimed and Oscar nominated
Norwegian biopic Kon Tiki, which also won ‘Best Film’ at Inverness Film
Festival.
Based on the amazing 4000 mile Pacific raft journey
of Thor Heyerdal in 1947, director Joachim Ronning’s beautifully filmed 2013
film stars Pal Hagen in the title role. As would be expected, the natural world
produces some terrifying moments, but the boredom, cabin fever and
interpersonal stresses are just as fascinating and believable.
The film, which is in English, will be shown at
Nairn Community and Arts Centre on Friday 27th November at 7.30pm. Doors
open at 7:00.
